Please read below how we handle and process your data

What is GDPR?

  • In May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaced the existing 1995 EU Data Protection Directive (European Directive 95/46/EC).

  • The GDPR is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information from individuals who live in the European Union (EU)​

What are cookies?

  • Cookies are small pieces of text sent by a web browser by a website customer’s visit. A cookie file is stored in customer’s web browser and allows the Service or a third-party to recognize each customer and make the customer’s next visit easier and the service more useful to each individual customer.​​

  • Swimming Masters only use cookies for necessary functions of our website www.swimmingmasters.co.uk. When you enter the page you will be asked to accept the cookie box that appears at the bottom of the page. By doing so, you consent to the use of cookies.

Swimming Masters and GDPR

  • Swimming Masters is committed to GDPR compliance across all of our relevant services and are dedicated to ensure that we are compliant in all areas and can confirm that we, to the best of our knowledge, currently comply with all applicable data protection regulations.

  • Swimming Masters has reviewed all areas of work relating to GDPR and have updated policies, standards, documents, governance and undergone training with staff, ensuring all staff are aware of GDPR and what they are required to do

  • All Swimming Masters organisational procedures are operated by Swimming Masters and not third-party providers. This includes our website, social media platforms and any communication and correspondence you will receive regarding your enrollment with us.

 

Data Protection

  • Swimming Masters will only hold the details of customers that is provided by customers for applications relating to their booking of our services and/or emergency situations such as contact names, phone numbers and emails.

These applications may include;

  • Maintaining up to date records.

  • Responding to any inquiries made by you.

  • To facilitate any events in which you participate or may wish to participate and to deal with any incidents involving you.

  • To facilitate contact with you about closures of pools and cancelled lessons.

 


Images and Videos

  • Swimming Masters will only post images or reviews given to us by swimmers with the permission of swimmers or parents/guardians of swimmers who are children. This is predominately done through email correspondence.

Medical  Information

  • Customers are always asked to provide medical information of swimmers that may be relevant to swimming lessons before lessons are booked. This information will only be passed on to specific swimming instructors who will be delivering lessons to the swimmer.

Financial Data

  • All booking and payment transactions made to Swimming Masters will always be done so by bank transfer from customers. We will never ask for bank details to take any payment from current and/or prospective customers.

  • Swimming Masters will only ask for financial information from customers when we are providing customers with agreed upon reimbursement of lessons or errounous payments. This may include names on bank accounts, sort codes and account numbers.

  • Swimming Masters will not store your details on any software platform, or keep hard or electronic copies of your details.

Deletion of Data

  • Swimming Masters will not hold onto data should a swimmer end enrollment with our swimming lessons. 

  • Swimming Masters will only hold data of our staff and/or representatives in documents that are password protected and only Swimming Masters executive officers  (and the individual staff) will be able to access this data.

  • If a customer, swimmer, staff member or representative wants their information to be deleted, this can be done so by requesting this to an executive officer.
